Hiroko Kuniya Joins Renewable Energy Institute as New Board Member

Renewable Energy Institute today announces that Hiroko Kuniya joined the Institute as new board member.

Hiroko Kuniya was former anchor for “Close-up Gendai” a daily current affairs program on NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) for 23 years. She is currently working as a journalist covering topics related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and is also appointed to UN FAO National Goodwill Ambassadors to Japan.

She has been Awarded numerous prizes including Broadcast Woman Prize in 1998, Kan KIKUCHI Award in 2002, Japan National Press Club Prize in 2011 and Galaxy Special Prize in 2016.

With the participation of Hiroko Kuniya as board member, the Institute will strengthen its efforts to promote and create a sustainable future based on renewables.
