The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and 35 leading players in renewable energy from around the world, including Japan Renewable Energy Foundation, in January 2014 jointly established a Coalition for Action to Bolster Public Support for Renewable Energy.

In this framework, participants, including member States representatives, as well as industry and civil society leaders, are invited to advance collective thinking on how to overcome public concerns over renewables and bolster public support through the activities of this Coalition.
