Renewable Energy Institute Supports GRA's Call for Tripling Global Renewable Energy Capacity by 2030

(Update: 19 Sept.2023)  Open letter from over 250 organisations calling for a target at COP28 to triple renewable energy capacity.

The Global Renewables Alliance is calling on world leaders and Parties for a tripling of global renewable energy capacity by 2030. Renewable Energy Institute is among the list of supporting partners.

This campaign, led by Global Renewables Alliance, a group of leading industry players who have united to form a unified renewable energy voice, calls for a more ambitious global target to triple renewable electricity capacity by 2030. An open letter will be published on the occasion of the UN General Assembly and New York Climate Week in mid-September 2023. The open letter will emphatically call for world leaders and Parties to the Paris Agreement to agree on a global target to triple renewable electricity capacity to at least 11,000 GW by 2030 at COP28 this year.
