Note 1) The Compensated Capacity for Curtailment over 30days (CCC) for PV and Wind are calculated by each Electric Power Company except Tokyo, Chubu, Kansai and authorized by METI’s Working Group on Grid System. The “CCC” means the installed capacity for which generators are compensated for the revenue loss due to curtailment exceeding 30 days per year. When generators install solar PV or wind power plants that exceed the amount calculated as CCC, they are subject to unlimited curtailment and they cannot claim for revenue loss by the curtailment for the exceeding amount. At the METI’s Working Group meeting held on November 25, 2016, new CCC was calculated by Electric Power Companies.
Note 2) The CCC of Hokkaido Electric Power Company is the figure that has already included 200MW devoted to demonstration trials for wind power expansion.
Note 3) The CCC is subject to future revise.
Note 4) Installed capacity in each utility area is calculated in round amounts under the following conditions: whole Gifu- and Mie prefectures belong to the area of the Chubu Electric Power Co., whole Fukui prefecture belongs to the area of the Hokuriku Electric Power Co., whole Hyogo prefecture belongs to the area of the Kansai Electric Power Co., whole Ehime prefecture belongs to the area of the Shikoku Electric Power Co., communities located at east side of the Fuji river, Fujinomiya City and Fuji City belong to the area of the TEPCO.
