The Council Members' Meeting of Japan Renewable Energy Foundation has made the following decision to appoint seven (7) executive board members including one (1) newly appointed board member.

Brief profile

Dr. David Suzuki was born in Vancouver, Canada. While teaching at University of British Columbia as a biologist, Dr. Suzuki co-founded the David Suzuki Foundation. He is recognized as a world leader in sustainable ecology, advocating for a transition from conventional energy system to renewable energy. He was voted as one of the top 10 Greatest Canadians in 2004, and became a Companion of the Order of Canada in 2006. He is a recipient of numerous world-renowned awards including Right Livelihood Award and UNESCO's Kalinga Prize for Science.
